Graph formatting toolbar

Can you use the graph formatting toolbar while working in
a table, and not in graphs? I have a user that is trying
to format numbers in a table and cannot figure out how to
do this.

I don't know what you mean by "graph formatting toolbar".

However, Word does not support any kind of automatic number
formatting (except when using [form] fields). For this kind
of functionality, you could insert an Excel table. Or
possibly run a macro over the table at some point to apply
the number formats.
