I am trying to source text fields from a table into another table but I'm not
quite sure how to do it. I've been able to use the formula menu option to
reference the numerical fields, but can't manage to do the same for text
fields. I'm using Word 2000.

Help anyone?

Hi Aussiexile,

The only way you can reference text in a table is by bookmarking the text
itself and referring to that bookmark. Table bookmarks and cell references
don't work with text - only numbers (not even dates/times).

Cheers

Can a cell have a formula linked to a check box? not a value?
Please see WORD TABLE FORMULAS -New Posting. for a clearer description.
