I was wondering if it is possible in word to retrieve data
from a SQL 2K database and format it to print out.  I have
a eCommerce database with graphics and text and want to
print out a catalog of items using word.  Can this be
done? Has anybody done this yet?

Thanks, Kevin

The Insert Database command in the Data toolbar can insert a
table of data, but only textual data, no graphics or other
objects.

Similarly, you can use mail merge to bring database data into
a Word document. But the same restriction applies to anything
that's not pure text. With mail merge, however, if you have
the graphics saved to disk, with filename in the data table,
you can use this field name in an IncludePicture field to
display the graphics in the merge result. Instructions for
this are in the mail merge FAQ on my website.
