I am using MS Office Word 2003. I have inserted a .jpg image as a "picture
from a file" and would like to insert a table next to the image. I have
wrapped text to the right of the image and can type text where I want it, but
when I insert a table, it appears in the proper place for an instant and then
appears across the page at the bottom of the image. How can I get a table
next to a picture or a picture next to a table?

For starters, you'll have to resize the table to fix next to the picture.

right click the table, select table properties and change
the positioning to be text wrapping and designate the
position of the table, Alternativly copy your table into
a text box and place it where ever you want.

It should not be necessary to wrap the table if the graphic is already
wrapped.
