In Microsoft Word, Table Properties/Row has a selection to repeat the row at
the top of the page as a heading.  But when I print the document, the Row
doesn't repeat.  How do I get this to work, or do I misunderstand the meaning
of the selection?

Instead of trying to accomplish this through Table Properties, just select
the row(s) you want to repeat (it/they must be at the top of the table and
be contiguous) and click on Table | Heading Rows Repeat.
