Using word 2003 which is part of Office 2003
When I creat 2 separate tables and then join them, I have trouble getting
the vertical table lines to join up seamlessly.
Sometimes when I move 1 vertical line the whole table re-structures itself
I have tried hi-liting the adjoining cells but somtimes this works and
sometimes it does not
Please somebody help I am starting to climb walls and even thinking of
reverting to Word Perfect which never had any problems like this!!!

Welcome to Word tables - a real mess! Many people have had this same problem
and no one has come up with a solution AFAIK. What you can do, depending on
the contents of the table cells, is convert the tables to text and then
convert the text back to a table.
