MS Office Forum / Word / Tables / October 2004Fill colors are "greyed" out. How do I turn on FILL colors?
When I make tables, I like to color cells. When the FILL button is pushed on my WORD 2000, a "greyed" out pull down menu is displayed and no colors are available. How can I turn FILL colors on again? Depends which "Fill" button you're using. Although the Shading Color button on the Tables and Borders toolbar uses the same paint bucket icon as the Fill button on the Drawing toolbar, they are not the same thing at all. What you have to use for tables is Format | Borders and Shading.  SignatureSuzanne S.
