I keep having a problem with corrupted tables in MS Word 2003.

When I edit a document everything is fine. I close it and then the next time
I open it MS Word 2003 tells me that a table has become corrupted and I have
to delete it and start all over again.

Anybody know if there is a fix for this?

I'm having the same problem with Word 2000.  I found the following article,
but it was based on Word 2002.

My tables were large and complex (merged, vertical tables, etc.)  What I did
was spilt the tables and put them inside text boxes (to easy movement).

My tables were large and complex that included:  symbols, vertical cells,
shading, etc.  I'm still looking for a real fix, but in the meantime I spilt
my tables inside text boxes.  This will also easy movement.
