Is there a way to automatically generate an acronymn list from a
document...using maybe the same techinique you use for table of contents
(apply styles that are linked to the table of contents "wizard"...then just
apply an "acronym" style to you acronyms as you type them...hit F9 and you've
got your list)???

Thank you!

No.

You can use Find to look for sequences of uppercase letters, then tag them
and create a list. Or just eliminate them completely. Less work, and makes
your document more readable too.
