Autoformatting Numbers in a Table

I am wondering if there is a way to set the format for numbers I put in a
table. I enter a good deal of numbers in a table, and it would be great if
the commas and dollar signs would automatically appear. Is that possible.

No. Embed an Excel table if you need that sort of functionality.
