I am making some labels which I need to be a specific size.
I have set up a table 3 columns and 4 rows - each column 7.3cms wide
and each row 3.5cms high - this being the size of each label I need.

I then mail-merge from an Excel spreadsheet the details  of each
label.

When I print the labels - they are not  7.3 wide - I have to make them
7.9 and then they will print as 7.3.

I am using A4 size card - landscape - HP Laserjet 5mp - nothing
unusual.

There is some sort of scaling somewhere - any ideas?

Is the page size in page set up the same as the size of the paper that you
are using.  That is either A4 and A4 or Letter and Letter, but not a mixture
of both.

Hope this helps.

Excellent - almost - I have A4 paper and the page size is given as A4
in Word page set-up; BUT I had the paper size as letter in the printer
set-up - I have now made everything A4 and it works.

Many thanks
