Conversion table to text

Hi,
I am confronted with a problem:
I want to convert a table into a text file, with a semicolon as a text
separating character.
My purpose is to import that text file into the addressbook of Outlook
Express.
The problem now is that the text separating character is not just a
semicolon, but a semicolon followed by a space.
In the importing process that space prevents easy recognising of the fields
to be imported.
So my question is: how can I get a table to text conversion WITHOUT a space
after the semicolon?
Thanks for any idea!
Regards,
Jan

Jan,

Running a quick test to confirm, I don't see the addition
of a space after the semicolon.  Are you sure you don't
have an extra space in after the text in hour individual
table cells?

You might try a find and replace looking for ; and a space
and replacing with just a ;

No Greg, I'm sure that the space is created by the conversion process. (try:
cursor inside the table; table | select table; table | convert table to text
semicolon and see the result).
Things like find-and-replace, as you suggest, are not a solution for me.
For me personally it is no problem at all, but I am trying to find a way of
easily updating an addressbook from a table in Word, it must be possible to
be done by a great, not so experienced public, that's why!
Rgds,
Jan

It's solved. Instead of choosing table to text csv I choose table to text
with an alternative character as separation and I take ";" for that
character.
A bit tricky that the custom choice for semicolon is different from the
alternative choice ";"
Bye,
Jan
