How do you copy Excel data into an existing Word table without nesting it?
JGM - 25 Nov 2003 22:25 GMT
Hi Patti,

Here is my solution, I am sure someone will come along with a faster one!

Copy the Excel data in you table cell,
Select the nested table from Excel
Use Table > Convert... > Table to text

HTH
Cheers!

When you paste in Word 2002, by default you should see a little "button"
appear at the lower right of the pasted content (Paste Options Button). Place
the mouse over it, click the arrow at the side, and you'll get a list of
things you can do with the pasted text. One of them should be "Merge with
existing Table".

If you don't see this button, you may need to activate the feature in
Tools/Options/Edit

Not a problem :-)!
