Has anyone found that the font colour in a table cell becomes red (was black
when file was saved and closed) when the file is re-opened?

Check under Tools, Templates and Add-ins, Templates, Automatically update
document styles is not selected.
The only reason I have come across font colour/style changing upon file open
is when this is selected.
Also, is the Table style linked as a hyperlink, ie changes when followed.
Hope this helps
