I take it that you used a calculated page field instead of inserting a
section break and restarting numbering? See

Hi Suzanne,
Your are right I used a formula to adjust the PAGE and NUMPAGES.
I now added a section break and clicked on the "start at page 1" on physical
page 5. So the page number and TOC are correct but my total number of
pages... NUMPAGES... still counts the first set of pages as part of its
range. The "Start at" option doesn't adjust the total number NUMPAGES count?
Am I doing something wrong or do I have to adjust the NUMPAGES via formula?

If you have only two sections in the entire document, then you can get the
number of pages in the second section (the one you want to number) by using
the SectionPages field instead of NumPages.
