Hi guys,

I am facing a problem in word addins.  Can anybody plz help me out on
the same.

I works as word specialist.  I have a standard template for our company
(without macros). I created macros (using record macros) and customized
it using a custom menu called 'Styles'.  I saved the macro document as
document template (*.dot).

The problem is when I adds that template in global addin.  the custom
menu 'Styles' appears.  It mean the addin works in Normal.dot template.
But When I open our company standard template; the addins menu goes
off.

I copied all the macros in our company's standard template and I tested
all the macros and it works fine.  But if kept macros in our company's
Standard template then all the macros will get copied in the files and
go alongwith all the files and thats what I dont want to happen.

Apart from that I am having 'Adobe Acrobat Writer 7' installend in my
system. The 'macro addin' is loaded and When i open our company's
template the "Styles" menu goes off and some
2-3  "Acrobat comments" menu appears.

I am really breaking my head.  I can not attache images here otherwise
i could have uploaded the screenshots of it.

you can reply me on pradeep_barapatre@yahoo.com as well (pls mark cc to
the reply)

Waiting for reply guys

How did you determine which folder to use for the global template?
What folder are you using?
If done properly, toolbar customization done in a template that is
subsequently placed in the global folder will be available to all documents,
regardless of the template they are based on.

This is also not normal.
When you create a file from a template that has macros, the macros stay in
the template, they are not carried over to the document. So if such a
document is sent elsewhere, the macros will not be part of the document.

What actual version of Acrobat 7 are you using?
Make sure you have the latest updates.
