Is is possible to create an add-in for Word 2007 in a Visual Studio project
on a machine that has Word 2003 installed (and visa versa)?  I seem to only
be able to create a Word2003 add-in on a PC with Word2003 installed.  On a
machine with Word2007, it does not seem to find the proper .Net assembly.

I believe not, but the experts on this topic are to be found in the group
microsoft.public.vsnet.vstools.office. You might want to ask again there.
