In word, I have typed boilerplate language which I wish
to incorporate into a micro, so I can have it and revise
it easily as changes occur in the future.

I also need to know how to create a micro from scratch.

Thank you.

Hai,

Record you're actions with the macro-recorder:
(Tools/Macro/Record)

It does record a lot of redundant code but it's a nice
teaching tool if you're not used to working with macro's

Enjoy! ;-)

Rosemary,

I think the autotext or autocorrect features would serve you much better for
this than a macro would.  You should look these features up in Word Help; a
few minutes reading could save you a lot of grief from doing it the hard
way.

Best place to start is with a Word VBA book.

See the list of such books at my URL.
