Is there a way to create a macro that can find a field on the current page
the user is on and return and set that field value?

I want to have the user click a menu button that opens a userform that will
allow them to set a field unique to that page within the header.

The field would be put in the header and each page would have its own
setting for this field.

Is there some way I can do this?

I think you misunderstand headers. There is not a separate one on each page.
At most, there are three per section. However, that is usually more than
enough since they can show page content easily using StyleRef fields.

I understand that, currently I have a IT logic in my headers that determine
page level classifications based on SEQ fields found on that page.  This
makes the visible display info of each page header unique even though there
is only one header.

What I need to do is have some way to set a hidden field that will be used
with this logic to override the setting from the fields it finds.

What I was hoping is that I could add a field somewhere that could be read
and set at the page level.
