You don't need a macro for that. Type the number 40 in the box on the
toolbar and press Enter.

Yes,Jay I know how to do that each time I use that font but I want to add it
as a font size in the drop down list.not type it in each time. just a mouse
click and it there,always.

Sorry, there's no way to add anything to the dropdown.
You can define a style (either a paragraph style or a character style)
that includes exactly the font size you want, and apply that style
whenever necessary.
