In another global template, I put my own button in the
Menu en made a shortcut to this template in de
startupfolder.
It worked very well, until this morning.
The button disappeared. I created a new shortcut, but it
will not appear again.
The template itself still has the button.
Who will help me to handle this problem?

I had a recent problem in that I created a new toolbar to hold the
buttons of my new macros. After I created the bar and buttons, they
would be gone the next time I opened Word. The problem was caused by
Adobe Acrobat. After removing Acrobat from my computer the problem
went away. Hope this helps. Joe

You don't actually have to remove Adobe Acrobat.
from the FAQ:
28. I can't save my customizations - AutoText, menus, etc.
Can't save normal.dot...
If you have Adobe Acrobat 7 installed see the last section of
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm.
Otherwise, hold down the Shift key when selecting the File
menu and select Save All.
