add command to menu item

hi all.
This is for 2007
My issue is:
There is a small-- perhaps 1/2 inch (12mm) x 2 inch (52mm)-- menu that
activates immediately adjacent to any text that we click on.
It shows the font type, size, allows for various formatting options--
bullets, outline numeration, increase/decrease indentation, etc....
I'd like to add a couple of items to that.
Is it possible?
If so, what's involved?
I.e., what's the access point, and coding for it?

No, Microsoft has made that menu (a.k.a. the MiniBar) off-limits to
any customization. Maybe in the next version, when they come to their
senses...
