When I open a document that is merged from Access, I get a message that begins:
Opening this document will run the following SQL command. Select * form
'queryname'....  Is there any way to prevent this message from appearing?

Try deactivating

"Update Automatic links at Open" under the General tab of the Options...
dialog from the Tools menu.

Don't know if it applies to those types of links...

Keep in mind that this is an Application wide setting (i.e., you will have
to update links manually, or, by using Print preview if the setting to
updates fields is active under the Print dialog).

No luck....message still came up.  I found a program on the web that I
modified to create this particular word doc.  I contacted the person who
designed it and she said the message doesn't appear for her users and she
didn't do anything to exclude it....there must be a checkmark somewhere?

HKey_Current_User /  Software  /   Microsoft  /  Office  /  11.0  /  Word  /
