Greetings,

Is it possible for word to create a TOC based on styles that reflect not the
page number but the paragraph number and line number?

i am really strugling with pagination issues.  im hoping this might be a
work around.

i hope to hear from anyone on this topic.

thanks

As you create your table of contents, you can easily choose to omit
page numbers. You cannot have Word include line numbers in the TOC,
though.

However, you may want to make an attempt to solve your pagination
problems before excluding page numbers from the TOC.

If the document doesn't repaginate, make sure that you turn
repagination on: On the View menu, click Normal. Then click Options on
the Tools menu. Click the General tab. Check the option for
"Background repagination". Note that this affects Normal view, only,
but if you exclusively work in that view, it would of course affect
document appearance.

If what you are seeing is "infinite" repagination, your document might
be corrupt. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm.
