page numbers using sections - how do you get physical page number?

Section 8 - Page 1 of 4 is Physical page 84.  how can i get the Physical page
number. I want to use both section page numbering and phycical page numbering.

exsample: Section 8 - Page 1 of 4          Page 84 of 132

I am using MS work 2002.

Greg, the website is great, but placing PAGEREF marker still gives me the
section page number.  anyother ideas?

Exactly what field construction do you have?

For your page 1 of section 8, to get Page 84 of 132 you would need:

Page { = ({ PAGE } + { PAGEREF S1 } + { PAGEREF S2 }  + { PAGEREF S3 } + {
PAGEREF S4 } + { PAGEREF S5 }  + { PAGEREF S6 } + { PAGEREF S7 })} of {
NUMPAGES }

Where you have a bookmark S1 thru S7 at the end of each of Sections 1 thru 7
and the numbering of each Section is set to start at 1.

Confirming Doug's reply.  If we both understand your objective then the
contruction Doug provided is the method to use.  It isn't easy.
