I installed an application, ABBYY TRansformer, that had a plug-in in MS
Word 2002. When I uncheck this plugin in Templates and Add-ins, (and
even when I remove it), the plugin simply returns wheg I close and
restart Word.
The ABBYY template is called PDFT.Word.Tmpl.dot. This template is not in
my Office10\Office\Startup folder, nor is there an Autoexec macro (as
far as I can see).
Any suggestions to prevent this template from loading automatically?

Did you look in the Word startup folder?

Have you looked in the Word Startup Folder? To determing its location, go
to Tools>Options>File Locations.

Tools > templates and add-ins will tell you where it is. Drag the edge of
the dialog box to reveal the full path. If it is in the startup path (or
called by the host program) unchecking will only disable it for the current
session. Either remove it from the startup path or disable it from the host
program (in the case of the latter).

Hi Graham,
It's definitively not in the Startup folder.
I'll try disabling it in the host program (ABBYY Transfromer, in thi case).
Thanks to all,
Shirley
