You need to add a control to the Userfrom toolbox (Right-click the toolbox
and click on "Additional controls...").
But IIRC, the RichTextbox control is not par of the standard Windows or
Office installation. This means you need to get a third party control, like
So you have to find one yourself, like the one offered at
http://www.vbcodesource.com/control.html
or
http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?lngWId=1&txtCodeId=14276
The problem lies in the distribution, licensing, etc...
You may choose to go down this road if you are developing something for a
closed environment.

Jean-Guy,
Thank you for your reply. I will try that.
I am curious to know if a control isn't already built into Word. When a
folder is displayed, one of the display options is "Preview" and Preview
shows formatted text. Is there a way to use that same control?

Sorry, but I do not believe that this is exposed to VBA.
