Hi,

How can I put a button not printable? I've try with the mask option in the
font options but it works only when I was in the creation mode. I use the
command button in the tools bar. I won't mask all control in the document
cause I have some forms field that I want to see at the print.

Please help, I have no more solution than VBA and I dont know how to make
it. I try with a print event but I dont know how to make the button reappear
after that.

Thanks

Its not really want I need. My button was not used to print my document but
insert text and update TOC in a protected document. The link you suggested me
was only to hide a button when I click on it to print from it. The users will
print from the ordinary button or file menu. Then I need to mask in another
place than the button itself.

Form fields inserted using the Forms toolbar and controls from the Controls
Toolbox are incompatible out of the box. Form fields only work when the
document is protected for forms, ActiveX controls only work when it is not.
However, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/HidePrintButton.htm.

For more about online forms, follow the links at

Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,

Instead of a command button, which again, is not compatible with an online
form, why not use a custom floating toolbar, which will not print?

Because the custom toolbar will stay in the individual profile. Anyone in the
department will use the template and we dont want to install the custom
toolbar in each pc. This doc will be send by email to be use by some other
people. Normally I think its impossible to create a custom toolbar who will
follow the template! Is it possible?

Why is it so easy in excel and access and is it always compliacted in
WORD?????

Thanks
