Pre-Populate forms

Hello all,

We have about 4 different applications in MS Word that we distribute to
paying customers.  To make it easy for the customers I am trying to somehow
capture information that repeats on every application such as the customer's
name, address and phone number and populate those fields in the other
applications.  I was looking into custom word properties but I am not sure if
I can use that to save a person's name, address and such.

Does anyone know a solution to this, please help.  Your time is appreciated.

Thanks,

Fidel

What do you mean by "applications"?  Is it an application form?  If so, what
type of form?  Does it use FormFields as in a document that is protected for
forms?

In other words, you need to provide more information on what you have now
for anyone to be able to tell you what, if anything can be done with that,
or if so other approach would be more appropriate.

Hope this helps.

Hello Doug,

Sorry about the confusion.  By application I mean application form with form
fields.

What we have now are the form fields asking for our end customers to put in
their name address .... But for each applicant they have to do 4 separate MS
Word application forms with the form fields.

And we are just trying to make it easy for the users by somehow capturing
the repetive input like their name and address and popluate the form fields.

Please let me know if I can provide more info.  Thank you for your help.

If each user has to fill in the four forms, put them all into the one
document and in the locations on the forms other than the first where
information needs to be inserted again, use cross references to the text of
the respective bookmarks assigned to those formfields on the first form and
in the properties dialog of those formfields on the first form, check the
Calculate on Exit box so that the cross references will be updated and
display the information entered by the user.
