I encrypted and password protected a word document and I need to access it.
How do I go about doing this. I have Windows Xp and I am willing to use the
GO-Back function but I don't even know how to do that.
I NEED to extract some info from that file.
You'll need to read your Norton documentation for use of Go Back, or try a
Norton forum. My understanding is that Go Back works only for your previous
Windows session.
There are people around that sell software that, they claim, will retrieve
your password. Do a Google on 'Word password cracking' or similar. I've
never heard of, or seen a credible post from, anyone who had any success
with this.
Or try hypnotherapy.

Hi Masooma,
There are various companies that sell software for this. A web search should
reveal for "password recovery" many such firms fairly quickly.
Cheers
