MS Office Forum / Word / Programming / October 2006Data Merge Manager missing from Tools menu
Instead, what I see on the Tools menu is "Merge Documents..." The dailog box is the standard one for file opening, and I can select and open the document with names and addresses, but the Data Merge Manager palette is totally missing, so I can't select fields and do the merge. What's up? I'm using Word 2004 version 11.2. Could you have turned on "Word 5.1 Menus" ? (see http://word.mvps.org/mac/SpellCheck.html#NoToolsLanguage ) BTW there is a better group for general questions about the Mac versions of Word at microsoft.public.mac.office.word Peter Jamieson > Instead, what I see on the Tools menu is "Merge Documents..."
