Unprotect the document and double click the field to display its dialog box.

Greg,
I had unprotected the document and used the right click then picked
properties. When I tried left dubleclicking the form field as you
indidcated, I get the same dialog. No item in the dialog indicates an option
for setting the name of the form field.
I see in VBA where you can programmatically change the name of the form
field. I was hoping I could just go into Word and change the name.
I am new to this, so am I missing an option to set the name from within Word?
Many thanks for you help,
Mark

Mark,
Then name of the formfield goes in the "Bookmark" field.
