I have created a form in Word and would like to name the form fields with specific names instead of the defaults. I have tried right clicking on a form field and picking properties, but there does not seem to be a property to name the form field. Is the only way to name the form fields to write a vb program that will skip thru each field and rename it? When I tried left dubleclicking the form field as you indidcated, I get the same dialog. No item in the dialog indicates an option for setting the name of the form field. I see in VBA where you can programmatically change the name of the form field. I was hoping I could just go into Word and change the name. I am new to this, so am I missing an option to set the name from within Word?
