I no longer have the cd for xp and word won't do certain function

I have windows xp but, I no longer have the cd and I am not able to use
certain functions on microsoft word and other programs ( such as in microsoft
word I can't use the dictionary or look up a word. Please help. ~Thanks~

To start with, Word is not a part of Windows XP.  If you had a genuine copy
of Word, see
