I'd like to write something to help fill out the keywords in the file
properties in docs and other files.  Is there a hook to do this
programatically in word?  Something that already does this?

Is there a known method or tool to search only through the keywords
attached to doc files, rather than the file contents?  Likely this
happens in the file system but I thought Office afficianandos might have
had a need for this and could provide this code wanderer with some
direction.

And thanks...

John

Hi John,

Yes, there is something. Read
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/DSOFile.htm, download the
sample file, and play with it for a bit.
