When printing MS Word documents on my HP deskjet 722C it recently began
printing in landscape only. I have selected Portrait as preferences both in
the word printing preferences and in the control panel, yet it still prints
in landscape. This happens only when using MS Word. Documents from other
programs print in either portrait or landscape as I select.

Does the document *display* as landscape in Word? If so, set the
orientation to "Portrait" (in File | Page Setup). You can transfer the
setting to the attached template by clicking the Default button.

Thank you Stefan. Apparently I'd selected landscape in page setup for one
document and it became the default.  I'd forgotten all about the page setup
option in file.
