Adding standard Text to Word Documents

I would like to know if WORD has the capability to have some standard text be
stored in Macros or other places and then by clicking on a toolbar icon that
the stored standard text would then be pasted into the document at the cursor.

Is this a feature that can be created easily?

Yes. Take a look at AutoText.
