filesearch is now hidden in vba2007 , what cmd should i use

in word 2007 the command filesearch is now hidden and is no longer compatible
with the vista platform. What command should I use that would have the same
functions and options such as 'search subfolders'? And do you have any idea
why they would do away with a command that was as useful as this one was?

You can go back to the old "Dir" command in the VB language.
