Hi

I would like to create a AutoClose macro that enters the file path in the
footer of page 1.

Any ideas?

No need for a macro.

Go to File, Page Setup. On the layout tab, click "Different First Page". On
the first page footer, insert a FILENAME field. To include the full path,
include the \p switch. Save as a template. All documents based on the
template will now have the filename in the bottom of the first page.
