Mail Merge data

Peel and Stick - 30 Nov 2007 21:06 GMT
Hi, This is my first post on this forum so please excuse me if I am in the
wrong group. I need to create a data base that I can print envelopes from.
The data was originally typed into the label areas of a multiple label form.
There are about 1100 records that I need to get into a list that can be
managed. sorted by Zip, printed on envelopes, etc. I have been able to get
some of the records to print, but because there are varying numbers of
fields, the merge is not successful. I have copied and pasted the records
into Excel and the name, street address, and city-state-zip get placed in
separate cells in columns. I would like to get the data from Word into Excel
and setup so that I can work with it.

The list is for a friend, a 70 year old widow, who mails support letters for
her missionary son who is living in Europe. Currently she prints on peel and
stick labels, and then peels and sticks 1100 labels.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

See "Convert Labels into Mail Merge Data File" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's
website at:

Note, there is a mailmerge.fields newsgroup that would be a better place for
questions concerning mailmerge.

Hope this helps.
