Hello Everyone,

Is anyone here MOUS Certified in MS Word 2003, MS Excel 2003 or MS
PowerPoint 2003? If so, how long did it take you? I just lost my job and
is considering studying these applications in a training program so I
can get my certification. I feel it would be a plus on my resume.

Thank you,
Anna

I am, but I use the programs so much that it was pretty easy.  Only reason I
did it was because a couple of my clients insisted that to send any of their
employees to any of my training classes, I had to be certified.  Since it
didn't cost that much I decided to go ahead and do it.  Of course I did it
for 2002 (XP), but pretty much the same.  All I needed to do was look at the
objectives covered by the exams and prep a little.  I decided to take the
Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor certification so I needed
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.  Went to a local CompUSA on a
Saturday morning and took all the exams.  They thought I was crazy for
taking more than one of them, since they are designed to last 1.5 hours or
so.  I took all five in 2.5 hours and walked away certified.

This will get you started:
