I've imported outlook contacts before, but is it possible to import a list of
the categories currently found in the outlook contacts?
thanks.

Hi Southern at Heart

For information about how to control Outlook from Word, see
Control Outlook from Word

http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/InterDev/ControlOLFromWord.htm

I suggest you ask for further details in an Outlook group, where they
will be able to tell you how to access the information you want from
Outlook. I seem to remember that there is no Categories collection. The
Categories are just stored as text with the relevant items. The Outlook
people should be able to help you further. Let them know what version of
Outlook you're dealing with.

Hope this helps.
