Hi everyone,

Our infrastructure is Microsoft Windows 2003 SP2 running Active
Directory / Exchange 2003 / File / Print

Our printers are HP 4200 printers shared via the Domain Controller in
the same building.

Our Windows XP clients open a Word document and choose the printer
they want to print with using the macros script menu item.

Then Word 2000 "hour-glasses" for 1-3 minutes and then finally prints
the document.

I've ran Wireshark and there are spoolss "insufficient buffer" errors.

Any other clues as to why the print macros are "hour glassing" greatly
appreciated!

Thanks.

What is the performance like if they just use File>Print?  If it is the
same, then the macros would not appear to be the cause of the problem.

If it is significantly better, it might be possible to help if you showed
the code of the macros.
