Go to Office button > Word Options > Advanced > Display, and check the box
for "Show all windows in the taskbar".
By the way, this does _not_ "restart the program". It simply changes the way
documents are displayed, but there is still only one copy of Word running
(which you can confirm in the Windows Task Manager).
