Using palceholders for docvariables

Hi,
Could you Please tell me how to use the values ,defined in the docvariables
,inside the word document.

i can create the docvariable but not able to find a place holder to use the
docvariable values.

Use a DOCVARIABLE field - Insert>Fields>
