I want the document to update all ASK fields when I open the document.  I
don't want to use a macro to do it.  The FILLIN field does what I want, but I
need to do it for the ASK field.

Hi Gazman,

The only reason for using an ASK field instead of a FILLIN field is if you
want to set a bookmark instead of displaying the result, but you can get
similar behaviour with a FILLIN field.

You can bookmark a FILLIN field, so that its results can be referenced
elsewhere in a document. Compared to an ASK field, this can save one REF
field. You can also hide a FILLIN field's output by incorporating it into an
IF field.

Cheers

Hi Macropod -

How do you assign a bookmark to a FILLIN field?
