system hangs when pasting a web page

My system uses MS Win XP Pro version5.1.2600 build 2600. I had MS Word 2003
(11 5604 5606) installed and has been using it trouble free until I installed
Norton System Works Premier 2005 (v 8.02 build was installed

cleared the norton problem but even then if anything is copied from a web
page and pasted in a word document the system hangs.

If you haven't already done so, try Solution 2 on that page (disable the
Office Plug-In).
