Among quite a variety of things we keep in Visual SourceSafe are MS Word
documents. Within VSS, one can determine that two versions of a document
differ, but unfortunately no details are available. I ran across hints in
Google Groups that there might have once been an Add-in for Word97, but have
not been able to locate where that has vanished to...

Never heard of that add-in. In VSS, do a Get on each document, and
stick them on your desktop (using different names for each, of course).
Then open one of the documents in Word, and use Word's Compare feature
(called different things in various versions of Word -- check Help for
details).

Supposedly Microsoft had some kind of add-in, but I suspect the post actually
was referring to VSS integration macros for MS Word. I'm looking for better
integration of MS Word from within VSS. Ah well ...
