We post swim meet entries to our web site and swimmers (kids) have the option
to NOT have their names listed on the web.  Now we manually delete the names
based on a list we keep in an excel worksheet and only show their swimmer
code.

I'd like to use the worksheet as a database of IDCODES  that would be
polled by a word document looking for names on the list.  If the name is in
the worksheet and in the word document, the text prior to the IDCODE will
be deleted up to the beginning of the line.

ie   WORD doc has line  " Kids Name (other text)     Kids IDCODE     More
text"

the IDCODE is found in the worksheet and then matched(searched for) in the
word doc.  the above line would be found and then made to be :
                                  " Kids IDCODE     More text"

I have set up the worksheet to have a "1" in the columns for swimmers opting
to have their name removed.

Using WIndows XP Home and OFFICE 2002 and somewhat knowledgeable of VBA.

Appreciate any help/direction!

G'day Tweedy <Tweedy@discussions.microsoft.com>,

The correct approach is to apply Excels' filtering capacity to that 1
column and use all the results so provided. Ask on an excel list for
more info.
