It would be useful to have a feature where you can select more than one
hyperlink and remove them as a group rather than having to do it one at a
time.

As I type this, I'm thinking that perhaps I could get round this by
selecting text, copying it and then using 'paste special' - which is a bit
convoluted but would work I think.  Anyway, it would be handy if this
solution came up on the 'help' system as a way of removing multiple
hyperlinks since the 'paste special' feature isn't something that word users
who aren't familiar with excel will be that aware of.

thanks.

If the text involved has no other fields, select it all and press
ctrl-shift-F9. This unlinks all fields in the selection -- in the case of
hyperlinks, all you're left with is the 'text to display'
