Hello All,

I want to modify Normal.dot file through VB.NET. Please help how I can do
that as i have to remove only one entry from the same and have to keep the
other things intact. One solution is to delete teh file Normal.dot but I dont
want to change other users settings. Please Help.

If you don't want to change other users settings, why are you trying to
modify normal.dot? What is it that you are attempting to accomplish?

Hi,

I am actually making a Menu Item and that Menu is made for AllUsers in Word.
Now i want to delete the Menu Items from All Users but i dont want to disturb
any other settings made by the Users like the Fonts, Headings, Etc.
I hope i am clear.

First, if you are putting documents on your menus, read the articles about
the Work menu.

"made for AllUsers in Word" How are you doing this? Normal.dot should _not_
be shared. You can make custom menus and share them using a separate global
template. See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations
including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros,
etc.

If you are opening current documents, making changes to those documents, and
using SaveAs to save to a new name, you are misusing documents and missing
out on using templates. Again, read the articles on the Work menu. For more
on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog, and
locations of templates folders see
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.
